Snowman Software is a division of M Systems International, Inc. which started as a grass roots effort by M Systems' President Hal Maner to provide his daughter's independent school with a computer program to help administer admissions and development activities. It was brought to his attention that the products currently on the school market were more complex and costly than most midsize and smaller day schools needed or wanted.
Hal spent time with the administrators in the school discussing their needs before creating a beta version of the software for the school's use in April, 2001. In June, 2003 Leslie Johnson joined Snowman Software as Product Manager after working with DaySchool for two years in her capacity as Admission Director at Burlington Day School in Burlington, NC, USA. Leslie, with over 10 years of experience as a school administrator, brought valuable insight into the real-world applications of DaySchool® as it formally launched. |
