Snowman Software is proud to announce the release of Version 4.50 in the first quarter of 2009. This release offers a more complete integration with Microsoft Word for letter creation made possible when Microsoft began using the XML language in Word 2003.
The 4.50 release of DaySchool® includes:
- More complete integration with Microsoft Word 2003, 2007 (and on Mac's - 2008) enabling unlimited merge letters to be saved fully formatted in Word and accessed from DaySchool® Letter Wizards as well as from the gift/application/inquiry pages to create individual letters.
- Mac users will now enjoy automatic execution of DaySchool created files out of reports and wizards.
- Additional merge fields have been included to add more options in letter creation.
- Class reports can now more easily be created for our Montessori Schools where a class/section may span several grade levels.
- A custom filter has been added to reports to allow filtering on Blank/Not Blank fields
- List reports can be run for each individual in a household record in order to more easily create staff and board lists where the relevant contact may be either person in the household.
- The QuickAdd option has been added to more tables for ease of use.
- The Email log has been enhanced to include contact name in addition to the email address.
- Warning messages are more specific at the deletion of a record to warn user exactly what other types of records are attached (i.e.: gift records, application records, etc.)
- Child names, grades and class/sections arenow available in development reports that previously lacked child information.
- New QuickBooks-specific salutation fields have been added to DaySchool (with a global update option) to make integration with QuickBooks more seamless.
